Academic Support

My expertise is helping students get places at the best schools and universities for them, in London and around the UK. I’ve been advising families and students on this since 2006.

I have been part of the university admissions programme at top schools, helping students with their applications to dozens of universities including Oxford, Cambridge, LSE, Imperial and UCL. I went to Oxford myself, to study Modern History. However, I am aware that these big brands are not always the right fit: my priority is to provide tailored, sensitive advice which takes into account the circumstances and experiences of the student I am talking to.

I can support with university and course choices, Personal Statements, preparation for Admissions Tests and Interviews. Some universities give you the option to choose a college – mainly Cambridge, Oxford and Durham – and I can advise on this, too, considering carefully what environment and culture would work for the individual.

My approach is focused and structured, but I hope that it’s also human. My aim is to make the admissions process positive, constructive and exciting, even though it can be a source of anxiety for many students. I keep myself informed on the big trends within university recruitment and can also advise on Clearing and UCAS Extra.

Having over 15 years experience advising families, I am well-versed in the requirements of top universities in London and beyond. I work closely with the student but will happily involve parents or other family members in the discussion if desired.
