“Compassion is a requisite for a meaningful existence”

Gemma Dale

Mentor

I joined the Dallington team in June 2021,bringing with me a wide range of experiences and mentor roles in the education and charity sectors. I was inspired by the vision and values of the company: understanding and empathising with the needs of young adults.

Dallington has created an environment where the team and the mentees are encouraged to make connections, explore new ways of looking at themselves and the world and foster curiosity and accountability. This is all done with openness and creativity, in a supportive, caring way.

What I appreciate the most about Dallington’s unique approach is having the space to be intuitive and creative, allowing us to build trusting and authentic mentor-mentee bonds, whilst being held in mind always by the wider team’s experience and expertise. Ultimately it is about sharing. By discussing experiences and exploring emotions and habits our mentees gain a clearer understanding of their goals, values and potential. It’s wonderfully profound to work with our mentees, sharing the challenges and the achievements, offering stable companionship and seeing them find solutions and satisfaction.
